Only once a year — every autumn! The long-awaited MANHATTAN SHORT is
back!
"10 films. 10 different stories from around the world. Immerse yourself in the world of cinema — you will be the judge who chooses the best!"
The international short film festival MANHATTAN SHORT is one of the world’s largest short film events. Audiences in cities around the globe watch the same 10 finalist films and become members of the festival jury, voting for the Best Film and Best Actor.
MANHATTAN SHORT will take place in Latvia for the 14th time, with screenings in 10 cities across the country. This year, the festival in Latvia will run from September 24 to October 4, while in Riga it will take place from October 1 to 4 at Splendid Palace and K.Suns cinemas.
What makes MANHATTAN SHORT unique is the active participation of its audience — every visitor receives a ballot and, together with viewers around the world, helps determine the MANHATTAN SHORT winners.
"The voting results will be announced on October 5."
As part of the festival, the Baltic FilmTales youth short film competition Grand Prize, worth EUR 500, will also be presented, and the winning film will be screened on the big screen.
Films are screened in English and other original languages with Latvian and Russian subtitles.
