Join the great ethnomusic event in Latvia and meet again in Valmiermuiža on 5 July 2025! For the eighth year, the International Valmiermuiža Ethnomusic Festival will bring together seekers of authentic experiences, as well as outstanding soloists and contemporary ethnomusic bands from Latvia, as well as from countries near and far. A diverse musical experience, ranging from traditional to contemporary ethnomusic music, will appeal to even the most demanding music lovers.
Circus performers, a fire show, cuisine from different cultures, peaceful and restless recreation areas, visual arts events, entertaining educational workshops celebrating modern sustainability using ancient skills - the festival promises a range of diverse experiences and a great atmosphere for the whole family!
Musical programme: “Oratnitza” (Bulgaria), “Svjata Vatra” (Estonia/Ukraine), “Juuk” and Hasmik Bagoyan (Latvia/Armenia), “Slavic Folk Songs” by Ansis Bētiņš and Artūrs Čukurs (Latvia). Saulius Petreikis with the band (Lithuania), “Black Rooster Kapelye” (Latvia/USA/Germany), “Līgas pH3” (Latvia), “Dyrbyni” (Latvia), “Kaktu balles muzikanti” (Latvia).

The Valmiermuiža Ethnomusic Festival creates a link between traditions and contemporary – in music, crafts, culinary and various other artforms. Located in a beautiful historical park, it invites you to spend a summer day with friends or family enjoying excellent music, food and participating in creative workshops.
The Valmiermuiža Ethnomusic Festival is organised by the Valmiermuiža Association of Culture in cooperation with the Culture Management Centre "Lauska".
