Over the next two weekends the first «Osokin's Mini Festival @152» will take place in Riga and offer the audience a unique musical program. In the new music centre acoustic performances will be given by favourite artists in Latvia - Chris Noah, Katrīna Gupalo, Rihards Lībietis, Vladislavs Nastavševs, Rēzija Kalniņa and - of course - Andrejs Osokins himself.
The first day of the festival, May 29, will offer an acoustic concert by Chris Noah and Katrīna Gupalo featuring original compositions by both young musicians. The evening of May 30 will allow the audience to listen to Andrejs Osokins intimately, while on Sunday, May 31, virtuoso musicians – guitarist Rihards Lībietis and cellist Erna Daugaviete - will perform together. On June 5 Vladislav Nastvshev and Katrina Gupalo will perform a theatre music programme.
Rēzija Kalniņa graduated from the Latvian State Conservatory (now Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music) Department of Theatre and Cinema Acting in 1994, and then continued her studies in the Directing faculty. She has directed performances and concerts at the Dzintars Concert Hall (Tur kur gars ar garu jūtās satiekas, 2015), the Latvian National Theatre (Cilvēks, kas smejas, 2015), the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre (La traviata, War Requiem, Joan of Arc at the Stake, 2014; Mass, 2013; Anniversary Concerts 2012-2014), the Daile Theatre and the Latvian Puppet Theatre. In 2014, she was nominated for a Golden Mask award for Bernstein’s Mass.
