An opportunity to sense one’s own and others’ soul flowers and gloamings that remain obscure in daily life.
The multimedia performance “THIS LOVE IS NOT FOR SALE” is a game of contrariety – balancing between a person’s pursuit of happiness and the consequent pain of being stuck inside of a square. An unfinished conversation between the father and his son continues in the form of art – a series of impulses left behind for the father in the intermediate space by his son – within the realm of his soul. While following the threads of eternity, one is searching for answers to questions never asked before.
The multimedia art principle predicts many players’ wishes and their ability to communicate on multiple levels of perception. In order to communicate within the interspace, a new reality is formed. In fact, multiple realities that keep shooting impulse threads at each other, in the language of contemporary dance, circus acrobatics, music and abstract visuals messages.
As a result of these impulses, searchers appear on the playing field – wandering eccentrics who play around and create peculiar, if not better, personal realities that are at least obvious to themselves. As part of their essence, they strive to free themselves from the formality of matter. Although at times such endeavours might seem self-destructive, the playful nature of the game frees oneself of any tension, offering a prospective way out, survival and surprises.
A soul tries to adapt to the boundaries of modern life – from inside of a square where it constantly fluctuates and balances between its present existence and its inner desires. Although, despite any resistance, a soul lives and loves until its demise. And as it turns out – even after.
“In the beginning there was sound (not a word). An initial vibration, intangible yet undeniably present impulse with an invisible side from which something visible springs. Moving through levels and assignments of the game, you approach the secret of the Universe – that glaring darkness, infinite sorrow and an all-embracing love.”
