We highlight beauty through contrast- with a sustainable fashion show in a historic bank building in Old Riga and creative energy in the modern Grīziņdārzs. Bourzma Boutique 2026 takes place May 21–22 in Riga, transforming the city center into a meeting point for sustainable fashion and creative culture. The festival brings together emerging designers and creative talents from Latvia and other European countries, showcasing sustainable ready-to-wear fashion, upcycled materials, and innovative approaches to environmental challenges - creating a two-day experience where historic settings meet urban energy and conscious fashion connects with contemporary culture. During the festival, guests can enjoy a fashion show, dance battles, and various partner-hosted activities, while Bourzma Workshop gives participants the chance to step into the designer's role and create their own garments.

Bourzma Boutique is a sustainable fashion festival that invites you to look beyond the surface- through textiles, materials, and design - to discover how creativity, community, and responsibility can become a driving force for change. The festival's mission is to spotlight emerging talents and build a platform for collaboration, inspiration, and skill development.
Day One centers on a curated selection of sustainable fashion brands, with designers from Latvia and across Europe presenting the essence of Bourzma- the practicality, aesthetics, and relevance of sustainable fashion. This year we're placing emphasis on wearable, everyday pieces. Expect to be surprised by international designers - Jasmina Nicolosi, Noelle Link, Carla Rogenhagen, Firat Cakir, Misha Martch - alongside local talent: Krista Marija Ruluka, Evelīna Erina, Evita Vītoliņa, Linards Ābelītis, design collective Liberty Alley, and last year's winners Disten. Their work will be judged by figures recognized in Latvia and internationally - Dārta Apsīte, Fjodors Podgornijs, Agnese Kazāka, Sintija Selicka Užāne, and Ernests Galenieks. Day Two invites guests to join free creative activities: sustainable fashion workshops, music production stations, and partner-led experiences. A designer market will offer the chance to meet community makers and purchase their work, plus the garments featured on the runway will be available to buy. The evening kicks off with the Bourzma Boutique x Air Jordan dance battles, featuring 16 dancers from six European countries competing for a VIP pass to GGFest. The format is freestyle - 2v2 and 1v1 battles blending movement styles and rhythms. An internationally acclaimed judging panel will be announced in March. See you May 22 at Grīziņdārzs.

This year's festival puts an additional focus - across communications and installations - on glass: proper sorting and recycling. Artistic installations made from non-recyclable glass will invite us to see through habit and surface, finding value in what we often dismiss as waste. Bourzma Boutique takes place in a world where responsibility becomes a new form of creativity.

Entry to the Bourzma Boutique Night festival is 18+. The daytime festival program is open to all ages.
