Imants Kalniņš' musical gems | duet Līga Priede and Andrejs Grimms in Valmiermuiža

 Valmiermuiža Beer Lounge invites you to a heartfelt concert on 24th October at 19.00! The program of Imants Kalniņš's song gems has naturally evolved over the course of years of collaboration between two musicians – Līga Priede and Andrejs Grimms. Collecting song after song, they have played more than a hundred concerts together and recorded and released the album "Imanta Kalniņa klusās dziesmas" (Imants Kalniņš' Quiet Songs) (2024) on the SKANI label.

 Līga Priede, a singer with a magical voice that reveals the deepest essence of Imants' songs, and Andrejs Grimms, a guitarist and arranger with experience collaborating with band "Autobuss debesīs" and the composer himself, allow listeners to experience healing life stories in their concerts, breathing in unison with the values of music and poetry, singing along, sometimes crying, sometimes smiling with emotion.

 The diverse songs of Imants Kalniņš, all his wonderful music from old films, theater performances, and Imants' band concert programs will come to life, encouraging you to sing along, remember the past, and think about where we are going today...
